Every polling division in Matara district was won by SLPP. And they were able to win 6 seats out of 7 in Matara. Other seats went to SJB.
Every polling division in Matara district was won by SLPP. And they were able to win 6 seats out of 7 in Matara. Other seat went to SJB. Despite getting 7.76% of the votes, NPP is unable to secure a seat from Matara. That means Former COPE committee chairman Sunil Hadunnetththi to miss out the Parliament again from Matara district.
