Even former Prime Minister and United National Party (UNP) Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has failed to secure a seat in Parliament for the first time in his over 42 years of his political career.
But they will not go seat less in the next parliament. According to our analysis with their 249,435 votes which amount to 2.15% in the national electorate, they will be able to win a solitary seat from the National List.
