⭕ Water levels in the Kelani Ganga are above minor flood level and rising rapidly.

⭕ Flood warning for low-lying areas:
Eheliyagoda, Norwood, Yatiyantota, Galigamuwa, Ruwanwella, Bulathkohupitiya, Dehiowita, Seethawaka, Dompe, Padukka, Homagama, Kaduwela, Biyagama, Kolonnawa, Kelaniya, Wattala, Colombo.

⭕ Residents in low-lying areas are urged to evacuate to safe ground immediately.

⭕ The amount of rainfall already received in the upper areas of the Kelani Ganga indicates that the river will exceed major flood level. This assessment is not based on the Met Department’s future forecast but on the rainfall that has already occurred.

⭕ Please take necessary precautions and evacuate to safe ground without delay.
