⭕️ Due to the slow river slope and wide floodplain in the Rathnapura area, floodwaters tend to recede very slowly a well known characteristic of this river basin.

⭕️ This water will flow down to low-lying areas around Kalutara over the next couple of days. Stay vigilant.
