🚨 Kelani River Flood Situation Update — 05.00 AM, 29 November

⭕️ Most of the water is now passing the Hanwella area and rapidly flowing down towards Colombo.

⭕️ No major rainfall upstream.

⭕️ Glencourse exceeded the 2016 peak of 21.9 m earlier. Hanwella was around ~10 m during the 2016 flood, and we have now passed that level.

⭕️ Nagalagam Street recorded approximately 7.65 ft in 2016. We are highly likely to see similar flooding levels in Colombo as this water moves downstream.
