Sri Lanka’s 🇱🇰 Rising Star Shines at Silverstone: Yevan David Secures P2 Sprint Start

⭕ Sri Lanka 🇱🇰’s Yevan David qualified P11 in Round 5 of the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Silverstone 18 places ahead of the next AIX Racing driver.

⭕ David recorded a 1:46.215 lap, finishing just 0.595 seconds behind Freddie Slater’s pole-position time.

⭕ The 12-car reverse-grid format promotes David to P2 for Saturday’s Sprint Race, alongside championship leader Ugo Ugochukwu on pole.

⭕ David became the first Sri Lankan driver to compete in the FIA Formula 3 Championship when he made his debut in Melbourne earlier this season.

⭕ In a category heavily influenced by car and team performance, David’s clear advantage over his AIX Racing teammates highlighted the quality of his individual drive.

⭕ This was his strongest qualifying performance of the season and gives him a major opportunity to convert a front-row start into a strong Sprint Race result.
