🇱🇰 CEB Split Into 4 Under New Electricity Act

⭕ Ceylon Electricity Board has been divided into 4 new entities under the new Electricity Act.

⭕ The restructure targets separate management of generation, transmission, distribution, and system operations.

▫️National System Operator (Pvt) Ltd
▫️National Transmission Network Service Provider (Pvt) Ltd
▫️Electricity Distribution Lanka (Pvt) Ltd
▫️Electricity Generation Lanka (Pvt) Ltd

⭕ All 4 companies will stay 100% under state ownership,

⭕ CEB employees (22,000+) can request transfers to one of the 4 companies during a 2-month window starting Aug. 27.

⭕ Employees not opting for transfer will be offered retirement with compensation.
